Founded by Jenefer and Melissa Palmer, a wonderful mother and daughter team, OSEA creates clean, clinically tested skincare from the sea. Jenefer, a mother and creative visionary, was inspired by her Grandmother. In the 1920s, Grandmother Elsa started the first Polar Bear Club in New York and cured herself after an injury by swimming in the sea—she swam in Long Island Sound over 300 days a year! 

During the 1980s, granddaughter Jenefer Palmer was continuing the family’s dedication to healing and wellness as the Spa Director at Murietta Hot Springs. When she was unable to find skincare that met her standards, Jenefer started mixing her own skincare formulas based on the healing power of the sea. After more than a decade of studying cosmetic chemistry and perfecting her formulations, she launched OSEA with her daughter Melissa. 

Thirty years later OSEA’s products are formulated with seaweed from Patagonia and Japan, along with other marine plants and algae. These plants are some of nature’s most powerful superfoods and rich in vitamins, nutrients, amino acids, antioxidants, and beneficial ocean-minerals. These sustainable resources from the sea offer benefits for our skin, such as replenishing the skin’s moisture barrier, moisturizing, firming, balancing, boosting radiance, and hydrating the skin. The first two products I personally purchased from OSEA were the Hyaluronic Serum and the Advanced Protection Cream. Several years later I’m still happily using both these products every day to moisturize my face and keep it looking good. Since I have dry skin, I now also now use the ultra-rich Undaria Body Butter on my arms and legs, and this makes my skin feel amazing.
